Power of 32 looking for outreach coordinators
The Power of 32 regional visioning project is taking the first step in convening tens of thousands of people to participate in creating a shared vision for the area's future by recruiting 15 Outreach Coordinators. These opportunities are open and ready to be filled now!
Outreach Coordinators will work with public, business, and community leaders from their areas to organize more than 75 Community Conversations throughout the region. Outreach Coordinators will be on the frontlines to help articulate their own community's needs and desires for a better future by getting as many people engaged as possible.
Each Outreach Coordinator will receive special training from AmericaSpeaks, a civic engagement consultant retained by Power of 32 to design the public outreach component of the visioning process. This role is perfect for residents who know, celebrate and love their own community's values, people and future potential.
For more information, contact Bill Schlachter at the Power of 32 (866) 431-3622) or via e-mail at bills@powerof32.org.

Meetings on trails, greenways will continue
Public input will continue to be sought next week regarding the trails and greenways project recently launched in Jefferson County.
Susan Hershey, president of the Jefferson County Chamber of Commerce and spokesperson for the Trails and Greenways Vision Committee, said the meetings are designed to gain information from the general public that will assist in further developing a Trails and Greenways Vision.
Meetings for the coming week include:
- Tuesday, Buckeye Local High School cafeteria, State Route 151, Rayland.
- Wednesday, Bergholz Fire Hall, State Route 164, Bergholz.
- Thursday, Adena Community Center.
The meetings will run from 6-8 p.m.
Hershey noted the Trails and Greenway vision stems from a long-range goal of the Jefferson County Community Investment Plan.
“A main goal of the plan is to enhance the quality of community and family life,” Hershey said. “The outcome to reach this goal involves creating bike, walking and running trails linking communities.”
